3.12.2009 - Centier Named Among 2009 “Best Places To Work” In Indiana

Centier has been named one of 2009’s “Best Places to Work in Indiana” for the third consecutive year. Centier previously ranked 5th Best Place to Work in 2008, and 10th Best Place to Work in 2007. Centier will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Indiana awards dinner coordinated by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce on May 5th. The 2009 final rankings will be announced at the event.

The Best Places to Work awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, BizVoice, Inside Indiana Business, the Indiana Youth Institute, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Best Companies Group. This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Indiana, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

“We are honored to receive this award for the third year in a row,” stated Chrisanne Christ, Centier Vice President of Human Resources. “Every associate in our organization has a role in helping shape our unique corporate culture. We regard our fellow associates as extended family and this helps contribute to the positive morale of our associates.”

Companies from across Indiana entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. The Best Companies Group managed the registration and survey process and will use their expertise and the data gathered to determine the overall rankings of the companies chosen. The basis for this initiative is Fortune magazine’s noted “100 Best Companies to Work for in America.”

Centier is the only Northern Indiana organization to make the list of more than 70 Hoosier companies being honored for their strong workplace environment. The Best Companies Group, which handled the selection process, oversees similar programs in 19 other states.
