Centier Bank recently hosted its annual Celebration of Excellence, a bankwide meeting joining more than 600 associates from Centier’s five-county service area. The all-associate meeting gathers departments and branch teams for an afternoon meeting to review financial results of 2010 and present service awards for the “Branches of the Year”.

Centier awards four branch of the year awards, one for each retail region, comprised of 44 branches throughout Lake, Porter, La Porte, Marshall, and Tippecanoe Counties. To achieve Branch of the Year distinction, these four offices exceeded a variety of incentive and efficiency goals, including providing excellent client service and gaining outstanding loan and deposit growth.

Centier’s 2010 Branch of the Year for the West Region (serving Dyer, Crown Point, Winfield, Lowell, Hobart, St. John, Gary, Southlake, and Lafayette) is the Southlake branch, located at 3198 E. 81st Street in Merrillville. The Southlake branch had an outstanding year of business, with deposits increasing over 14.7% in 2010. The branch also increased loan volume goals by 40%. The branch team excelled in customer service, averaging 100% on service scores for the past two years.

The 2010 Branch of the Year for the West Central Region (serving Whiting, Griffith, East Chicago, Highland, Schererville, Merrillville, and Munster) is the Highland Martha branch, located at 9102 Indianapolis Boulevard. The Highland Martha team did an excellent job promoting E-banking conveniences, such as E-statements and Online banking. This is the second time the branch has won “Branch of the Year” since opening in October 2004.

The East Region Branch of the Year (servicing Valparaiso, Plymouth, Chesterton, Portage Willowcreek, South Haven, and La Porte) is the Valparaiso North branch, located at 1802 Calumet Avenue. The Valparaiso North staff exhibited great teamwork to grow the branch in deposits and reach its loan goals for the year. They maintained excellent service scores while growing its team of associates.

Centier’s 2010 Branch of the Year for the In-store Region (located inside of community grocery stores: La Porte Al’s, Portage Town & Country, Valparaiso Town & Country, Whiting Strack & Van Til, Merrillville Ultra, Hobart Strack & Van Til, and Crown Point Strack & Van Til), is the Portage Town & Country branch, located at 6046 Central Avenue. The Portage Town & Country branch produced great service scores for the year and did a wonderful job promoting E-statements and Online Banking. This is the second time since 2008 that Portage Town & Country was named branch of the year.
