Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the opening of Centier’s new Business Banking Center, located at 11611 Meridian Street, Suite 175, located in Carmel, Indiana. The office is open daily, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The opening of the Business Banking Center marks the debut of a Centier loan production office servicing the Carmel/Indianapolis markets. Last summer, Centier hired Indianapolis business banker, Patrick Raftery, who has been managing lending services from a remote location until the bank found a permanent location for its growing team. This spring, Jeff Olds joined Raftery as Vice-President of Business Banking and Dirk Kelly joined the group as a Credit Analyst.
Patrick Raftery, VP Business Banking - A career banker, Pat Raftery has more than 28 years of experience and knowledge of local and national markets, making him an expert in managing large commercial loan portfolio accounts. His community service activities include serving as a Division Chairman for the Greater Lafayette United Way Campaign, Mosel Sanders Thanksgiving Dinner volunteer, and as a Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Financial Literacy instructor.
Jeff Olds, VP Business Banking - Jeff Olds joins Centier with more than 25 years of experience in commercial lending, commercial real estate finance, and investments. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Jeff has experience with growing markets and an extensive knowledge of local markets, specializing in commercial real estate since 1992. Jeff is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College and is a member of the JCC.
Dirk Kelly, Credit Analyst – Dirk Kelly has been in banking for more than 10 years with experience in private banking and wealth management. He previously worked as a credit analyst with J.P. Morgan Chase and most recently worked as a credit analyst with Dow Agro Sciences LLC.
The addition of the Carmel business banking office brings the total number of Centier’s non-retail loan production offices to three, including offices in Fort Wayne and Mishawaka. Last summer, Centier converted its loan production office in Lafayette into a full-service retail branch.
“We had great success with our Lafayette Business Banking office,” stated Centier Bank President & CEO, Mike Schrage. “With the success that we’ve seen in that market, we expect to see more business banking-to-retail office conversions in the bank’s future. Our vision is to have a retail branch in Carmel someday soon.”
Centier Bank has been a familiar institution in Northern Indiana for more than 116 years. Originally named the Bank of Whiting, Centier Bank has been owned and operated by the Schrage family since 1895. Centier continues a legacy that is committed to the principals of hometown banking, while offering clients the convenience and services associated with the modern amenities of business.
Centier has been named “Best Bank for Business” for the past nine years by the Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly publication and was listed on the Indiana Chamber’s “Best Places to Work” top ten list for the past five years.
Managed by four generations of visionary business bankers, the Schrage family has established a company that has become a rarity in today’s market: Independently owned and operated. During a time of buy-outs and mergers among other financial institutions, Centier has remained true to its promise that it is “Not For Sale”. It is this “Not For Sale” promise that allows associates and clients to take comfort in a corporate culture that affirms the traditions of yesterday and the legacy of tomorrow.
Centier currently has 45 banking locations in Lake, Porter, La Porte, Marshall, and Tippecanoe Counties.
