This month, Centier celebrates 115 years as a Schrage family-owned and operated, independent community bank. Founded as the Bank of Whiting in 1895, Centier’s historic past includes many milestones, most notably as the first bank in Whiting, long before it was incorporated as a city. As Whiting’s original hometown bank, Centier plans to celebrate this milestone with a community appreciation day at its Whiting Downtown branch, 1500 - E. 119th Street.
Please join Centier in celebration on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Special guests include artist Mitch Markovitz, who will autograph limited edition postcards featuring the Schrage Family Home from the Life of Whiting collector-card series, and a live radio remote featuring XRock 103.9 FM from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public. Enjoy food, fun, and festivities as Centier celebrates 115 years of memories in Whiting and Northwest Indiana.
