Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the grand opening ribbon cutting for its latest loan production office in Carmel, Indiana. Located at 11611 Meridian Street - Suite 175, the office is inside of the Meridian Mark I Plaza. The office is open daily, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EDT. The Carmel Loan Production Office phone number is (317) 574-0436.
The Carmel Loan Production Office is the first office presence Centier Bank has in Hamilton County. Since 2010, Centier Bank has been serving the Carmel and Greater Indianapolis markets with Indianapolis business banker, Patrick Raftery, who managed lending services while the bank found a permanent location for its growing team. This spring, Jeff Olds joined Raftery as Vice-President of Business Banking and David Bowers joined the bank last month as Senior Vice President.
Patrick Raftery, VP Business Banking - A career banker, Pat Raftery has more than 28 years of experience and knowledge of local and national markets, making him an expert in managing large commercial loan portfolio accounts. His community service activities include serving as a Division Chairman for the Greater Lafayette United Way Campaign, Mosel Sanders Thanksgiving Dinner volunteer, and as a Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Financial Literacy instructor.
Jeff Olds, VP Business Banking - Jeff Olds joins Centier Bank with more than 25 years of experience in commercial lending, commercial real estate finance, and investments. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Jeff has experience with growing markets and an extensive knowledge of local markets, specializing in commercial real estate since 1992. Jeff is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College and is a member of the JCC.
David Bowers, Senior VP Business Banking – As senior vice president, Bowers will manage business relationships in the Carmel/Indianapolis area, as well as oversee commercial lending in Lafayette and other Central Indiana markets. He has previously been board president for Habitat for Humanity of Hamilton County, board member of The Friends of the Carmel Library, and coached with the Carmel Dad’s Club.
The addition of the Carmel loan production office brings the total number of Centier’s non-retail offices to three, including business banking offices in Fort Wayne and Mishawaka. Last summer, Centier converted its business banking office in Lafayette into a full-service retail branch.
“We had great success with our Lafayette Business Banking office,” stated Centier Bank President & CEO, Mike Schrage. “With the success that we’ve seen in that market, we expect to see more business banking-to-retail office conversions in the bank’s future. Our vision is to have a retail branch in Carmel someday soon.”
Centier Bank has been named “Best Bank for Business” for the past nine years by the Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly publication and was listed on the Indiana Chamber’s “Best Places to Work” top ten list for the past five years. Most recently, Centier topped the list of SBA lenders in Northern Indiana and was named “Bank of the Year” by the Regional Development Company. The Indiana SBA also recognized Centier Bank as “3rd Party Lender of the Year” for closing the most SBA 504 loans in the state.
Centier Bank has been a familiar institution in Northern Indiana for more than 116 years. Originally named the Bank of Whiting, Centier Bank continues a legacy that is committed to the principals of hometown banking, while offering clients the convenience and services associated with the modern amenities of business. Managed by four generations of visionary business bankers, the Schrage family has established a company that has become a rarity in today’s market: Independently owned and operated. During a time of buy-outs and mergers among other financial institutions, Centier has remained true to its promise that it is “Not For Sale”. It is this “Not For Sale” promise that allows associates and clients to take comfort in a corporate culture that affirms the traditions of yesterday and the legacy of tomorrow.
Centier Bank currently has 45 banking locations in Lake, Porter, La Porte, Marshall, and Tippecanoe Counties.
