03.07.2011 - Centier Promotes Jones

Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank, announced that Dakita L. Jones has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Jones is currently branch manager at Centier’s Gary office located at 1326 Broadway, in the city’s Midtown neighborhood.

Jones joined Centier in 2003 and has more than 10 years of banking experience. She previously worked at Centier’s Miller branch as assistant manager before becoming branch manager of the Centier Midtown branch in June 2008.

As a Centier community ambassador, Jones is very active in financial literacy initiatives in her community. She frequently volunteers her time to teach financial literacy lessons to both adults and students throughout Lake County.

Jones is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. A member of Embassies of Christ Kingdom Ministries, she is a board member and secretary for the YWCA.

Jones resides in Portage with her daughter.
