11.14.2011 - Centier Celebrates Veteran's Day

In honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11th, Centier Bank hosted a ceremony to honor and celebrate service men and women in the United States military. More than 180 relatives were personally honored during the mid-day ceremony for Centier associates and their family members.

This is the third year that Centier has hosted a Veteran’s Day event for associates. During the ceremony, Centier Bank president and CEO, Mike Schrage, led guests in singing the national anthem as the American flag was raised. Next, Schrage presented a framed American flag to Al Avila, First-Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy Seabees, and Centier Investment Representative. Avila recently returned from more than one year in Afghanistan.

“When I hear ‘Thank You for serving our country’ I’m humbled,” stated Avila. “I feel that that’s thanks enough. We do this in honor of those who have served before us and for the freedom that we share.”
