Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank, was honored to host the 2009 Centier Bank/Schrage Scholarship Banquet on June 11, 2009. The banquet is held to recognize the current recipients; and they are encouraged to invite their parents or guardians, and the student’s choice of his or her most influential teacher.
To date, Centier is proud to offer the $2,000 scholarship to a college bound graduating senior in 20 high schools that are located in four counties in Indiana; they are all in communities where the bank has a presence. The program rewards academic achievement, as well as school and community leadership.
The Schrage Family Scholarship Foundation was established in 1995 in recognition of Centier Bank’s Centennial Anniversary and its founder, Henry Schrage. The program also reaffirms Centier Bank’s commitment to the families and communities it serves.
As the bank continues to grow, so do the number of schools that we partner with through a scholarship. Centier is proud to announce that $25,500 is being distributed to outstanding students this year, bringing the total to over $275,500!
