Jonathan Hildebrand
Assistant Vice President Business Banking
Merrillville
As a young man, Jonathan had various jobs throughout high school and college, but it wasn’t until after he graduated that he began his career with Centier Bank. Jonathan started in the bank’s Management Development Program in May of 2000, rotating between local branches to learn the fundamentals of banking operations. After completing the program, he spent almost a year as the Assistant Manager of the Portage Willowcreek branch before being promoted to Branch Manager.
After spending four years on the retail side of banking, Jonathan realized that his career interests really were in lending. With help from the Human Resources Department, Jonathan formulated a new career path that transitioned him into a role in the bank’s credit department before becoming a Commercial Lender. He now helps clients realize their dreams of business ownership and development. Jonathan’s goal is to help as many people as he can to obtain commercial loans and deposit accounts that address their personal and business needs.
“I love Centier and truly appreciate the kindness and caring shown by all the people I work with,” said Jonathan. “When I first started working at Centier, people were so happy and enthusiastic about the organization I had a hard time believing it could be this much fun. It wasn’t long before I realized what a great place this is. Now I share the same zeal.”
Anita Niemiec
Customer Service Representative
Lowell Express
Anita has always enjoyed working with the public and meeting new people. Her background in customer service has helped her in various sales positions at local retail stores throughout the area. Anita worked for a competitive bank for a brief time before coming to Centier. During her time at the other bank, she experienced the transition and changes that went along with a bank merger.
Frustrated with the process of her company’s merger, Anita noticed Centier’s “NOT FOR SALE” advertisements. Before long, Anita made her move to Centier and now, as a Centier employee, she feels she has grown as an individual with the values she’s learned through Centier’s extensive training and educational opportunities.
Anita has made many friends during the years she has been with Centier. As a friendly face, she contributes to her clients’ daily lives just by being there for them and answering any questions they may have. She has formed strong friendships with the people she works with, and she knows that her Centier family is always there for her.
“I’ve watched toddlers grow and several have started kindergarten this year. One of my favorites is a little girl named Anna,” Anita said. Every time Anna would come through the drive thru with her mom, she would ask for a pink dog biscuit instead of tootsie rolls. She doesn’t have a dog, but her neighbor does! Anna’s learning the value of sharing even at her young age. That’s what community is all about.”
Priti Laczi
Network Technician/ IT Operations
Operations Center
Priti was a Centier client before joining the bank. As a client, Priti was impressed with Centier’s world-class service and heard from various sources what a wonderful place it is to work. With so many high recommendations, Priti filled out an application and was hired!
Priti worked in retail as a Customer Service Representative before joining the bank. She had no previous banking or cash handling experience, but the training she received from Centier made it easy for her to transition into her new job.
Since Priti was looking to pursue a career in Information Technology (IT), Centier gave her the opportunity to post for a position in their IT Operations department. Now, Priti enjoys working in a specialized area where her skills affect the whole bank. When she receives calls reporting computer problems, Priti works quickly to find a solution. She finds it a pleasure to be able to help her fellow associates at Centier.
Centier has many career opportunities and chances for advancement. Priti has shown that if you work hard and have a career path in mind, Centier will do what they can to help you achieve your goals. She enjoys working with a great team of managers, executives, and department heads who treat all associates the way they themselves want to be treated.
“I am very happy and thankful to be a part of a company that truly cares for its employees and believes in values. Here, hard work and values are not only appreciated, but also rewarded. It’s a great place to work, a great company to work for, and I feel blessed to be a part of Centier,” Priti said.
