Centier Associates Lead Habitat for Humanity Women Build Project
July 21, 2020
Associates from Centier Bank gathered earlier this month at a construction site as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build St. Joseph County, to aid in the construction of the organization’s 20th home.
Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity International program which empowers women and men to make a difference by building homes and communities for families in need and advocating for fair and affordable housing for women.
Centier Bank Branch Manager, Amanda McCord, serves on the steering committee for Habitat for Humanity St. Joseph County Women Build, and said since the group’s creation in 1998, Women Build volunteers have helped construct more than 2,225 homes around the world.
“The work and organization mean so much to me,” McCord explained. “We were able to help build the home for a single mother of three children, who will be able to provide safe and affordable housing for her daughters. It’s an extremely rewarding experience to work with my fellow Centier associates and put our Servant Hearts in action.”
