Centier Bank Breaks Ground in St. John, New Branch Opening in 2021
October 1, 2020
MERRILLVILLE, Ind. – Michael E. Schrage, CEO and Chairman of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the Bank’s plans to begin construction on a new Centier Bank branch in St. John. The new branch, which will be located at 9621 Wicker Ave., is expected to open in late Spring of 2021.
Schrage, along with Jennifer Doffin, Regional Sales Manager at Centier Bank; Bruce Boyer of Boyer Construction; Craig Phillips, St. John Town Manager; Beth Hernandez, Clerk Treasurer; and Sam Alberico, President of the St. John-Dyer Chamber of Commerce, gathered Sept. 30, 2020 at a groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site.
“I’m proud and excited to bring a brand new, state-of-the-art banking center to St. John,” Schrage explained. “Coincidentally today is the 21st anniversary of the day we opened our first branch in St. John—September 30, 1999. Centier Bank will be rounding out our 125th anniversary year with the opening of this new branch, and we are really looking forward to it.”
The new branch, located on the east side of Route 41 at W. 96th Pl. in St. John, will include the convenience of three-lane drive up banking services, a free self-service coin machine, and EZ Deposit ATM, as well as the same remarkable service Centier clients receive.
“Congratulations to Centier Bank on your continued expansion, we are eager to see the new building and celebrate its grand opening next year,” Philips said. “We are also grateful for your continued investment in the community.”
