Centier Bank Breaks Ground on Elkhart-North Branch in Unique Fashion

May 11, 2018

Centier Bank Elkhart NorthELKHART – On May 10, 2018, officials, stakeholders, and members of the Michiana business community celebrated the groundbreaking of Centier Bank’s new Elkhart-North branch.

“We are proud to take part in the resurgence of the Elkhart and Greater Michiana economy as we continue to grow along with these communities,” said Mike Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank. “As a community bank, we hold true to the values that have allowed our associates to keep their clients as their top priorities. That approach is our leading driver as we continue to expand throughout the state.”

Representatives from the City of Elkhart, Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, Holladay Properties and Centier Bank took part in welcoming the new addition to the Michiana market. Centier first opened a Mishawaka location in 2006 and has seen a great response to Centier’s community-minded approach to banking.

"The Elkhart community is excited to see that Centier has continued to invest in our city by opening a second location," explained Abby Wiles, Assistant Director for Community, Economic and Redevelopment of the City of Elkhart. "Our city is thriving economically right now and it is a testament that businesses like Centier continue to choose Elkhart."

In true Centier fashion, the bank wanted to make a splash with the groundbreaking of its 61st branch and did so by enlisting the use of heavy machinery to strike dirt for the ceremonial act, marking the beginning of construction.

Centier Bank Elkhart North 2“We are unique in that we are a private, family-owned community bank that provides a world-class banking experience,” said Christopher Campbell, Senior Vice President. “Our Michiana team is second to none when to comes to focusing on what our clients need. We look forward to continuing that tradition with this new branch here in Elkhart.”

The 1,600 square foot facility will feature personal retail banking services, 24-hour EZ Deposit ATM access and drive-thru services. This is Centier Bank’s ninth in the Michiana region and will be the 61st location in the state. The Elkhart-North branch will join recent expansions in Granger, Goshen, Elkhart, La Porte, Mishawaka, South Bend, and Plymouth.
