Centier Bank Cuts Ribbon at 64th Branch in Downtown Fort Wayne

January 22, 2020

Ribbon CuttingFORT WAYNE, Ind. – Associates and business partners of Centier Bank, along with Fort Wayne community members and dignitaries, gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration January 13 at the branch’s newest location at 803 S. Calhoun St. Suite 100 in the heart of Downtown Fort Wayne.

Mike Schrage, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Centier Bank, welcomed guests to the ribbon-cutting ceremony inside the branch, which hosts both retail and business bankers, offers complimentary Wi-Fi and a coffee bar for clients to enjoy while they do their banking.

“Fort Wayne has been so welcoming to Centier since we opened here over a decade ago, and the reception we’ve received with the newest branch has been truly heartwarming,” explained Schrage. “We are honored to bring hometown banking to downtown and look forward to showing you the Centier difference.”

Also in attendance was John Urbahns of Greater Fort Wayne Inc., along with Mayor Tom Henry, who spoke about Centier’s impact on the Fort Wayne community and thanked Schrage for expanding to downtown, in order to offer more convenient banking services across the city.

Schrage, along with Centier Regional Sales Manager, Amber Pulford, and Branch Manager, Dan Beechy, presented a $1,000 community donation to Lauren Childers of Cass Housing, a Fort Wayne-based nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and maintaining customizable, affordable living arrangements for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

“The support we’ve received from Centier Bank has been so generous, and we intend to use this donation to support our mission, which helps families who need a housing solution and might not know where to turn,” Childers said. “Fort Wayne is a community that’s growing and changing, and we look forward to working with Centier Bank for years to come.”
