Centier Bank donates $1,000 to business-focused community podcast
January 12, 2021
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Centier Bank recently presented a $1,000 community donation to a new podcast and web series called CUCtv, organized through South Bend’s West Side Business Resource Center, which provides support and services that reward innovation and encourage entrepreneurship.
John Wingfield, Assistant Vice President of Business Banking at Centier Bank, presented the check to James Summers a few weeks ago. Summers said the donation will help produce the podcast, which aims to shine a light on the community’s business owners and allow them to tell their stories.
“CUCtv features local small business owners who are personally committed to the economic growth of the community,” Summers said. “These are businesses run by neighbors, hiring neighbors providing services for neighbors and adding directly to the quality of life in our communities. The businesses we introduce you to are the little gems that, if you don’t live in the community, you might never discover them.”
Wingfield said Centier Bank is happy to invest in South Bend’s small business community in this way.
“This donation will help pay for the expenses involved in order to tell these stories as a way to bring the South Bend business community closer together,” Wingfield explained. “Our small business owners are the backbone of South Bend, and I can’t wait for people to tell their stories!”
