Centier Bank Donates $1,500 to Ryan's Place Children's Grief Support Center

GOSHEN, Ind. — Centier Bank recently made a $1,500 community donation to Goshen-based Ryan’s Place Children’s Grief Support Center. The nonprofit provides grief support to children, teens, and families, working with the bereaved to provide support and education as they travel their journey of grief to find peace, hope, and a new normal as they face life without their deceased loved one.
Erin Thompson, Development Coordinator at Ryan’s Place, said the donation will help the staff provide valuable programs to grieving children.
“Centier’s generous donation means that we can continue to serve families in our community through peer-to-peer support groups during program nights and in local schools,” Thompson said. “Funding will purchase therapeutic mediums used in grief support groups such as journals, art supplies, and memory boxes. Ryan’s Place is incredibly grateful for the support of Centier Bank and their heart for grieving children and families in our community.”
Glenn Peterson, branch manager of Elkhart Downtown, said Centier Bank is proud to partner with Ryan’s Place, and the community donation was made to help fund Ryan’s Places’ services.
“Centier Bank is delighted to partner with Ryan’s Place, because the services they provide are so important,” Peterson said. “We are proud to call ourselves a community partner, and support all of their efforts.”
