Centier Bank Donates $500 to Boys and Girls Club of Elkhart County's Colors for Kids Event

June 18, 2021

ELKHART, Ind. – Centier Bank recently presented a $500 community donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart County to help sponsor its Colors for Kids Family Fun Run and Walk event, taking place June 26.

The event will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County’s Brady Clubhouse. The event takes place in Elkhart’s Central Park, featuring a group warm-up, color stations, music, and more. Runners and walkers of all speeds and abilities will be in attendance.

“We love supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart County, and are especially delighted that we can sponsor such a fun summer event,” explained Kathy Sears, Business Banker at Centier Bank. “We know how many families missed having gatherings last summer, so we are very grateful that our community is back to hosting in person events. We are very excited to help the Boys & Girls Club raise funds.

The Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart County is committed to inspiring and empowering all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Jamee Homes, Special Events Coordinator at Boys and Girls Club of Elkhart County, said the community is excited to come together to enjoy the Colors for Kids event.
“This year especially, we wanted to make sure that people had an opportunity to have fun as a family,” Holmes explained. "We could not do what we do without the support of great community partners like Centier. Their financial support allows us to put on events like this, as well as fund the programs we offer young people at the Club. Their generosity makes all the difference for our organization.”
