Billinero Quarterly WinnerMERRILLVILLE -- Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest, private, family-owned bank, is pleased to announce the recent launch of Billinero™, a digital-only prize linked savings account with a game-like approach. The new mobile application offers savings account users the opportunity to win a monthly $1,000 and a quarterly $10,000 cash prize at no risk while also increasing their financial savings.

With over $4.5 billion in assets, Centier launched Billinero™  to grow its digital service offerings and attract new market share in Indiana, as well as 10 other states.

“While Centier Bank will remain Indiana-based and is committed to our ‘Not For Sale’ promise, Billinero™ gives the bank the opportunity to show out-of-state clients what makes banking with Centier a special experience, while also helping nurture financial literacy and encourage savings with a fun, game-like approach,” Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank said.

“Billinero™ gives us the opportunity to expand our footprint beyond our existing markets. We are excited that this mobile application will bring awareness and tangible support for financial education.”

Cameron Blunt of Lowell, Ind., recently won the first quarterly Billinero™ $10,000 drawing. He said he enjoys using the app, as it is a helpful reminder to him to build his savings account. In addition, he said, it makes savings fun.

“I was so surprised to be named the first quarterly drawing winner,” Blunt said. “I would use Billinero™ regardless of the prize incentive, but that definitely helps motivate me to use the app, and therefore, I end up saving more.”

Chris Campbell, a senior partner of Centier Bank, said Billinero™ is a win-win for its users.

“We want to expand our hometown banking feel to communities in and outside Indiana, and this is a new and interactive way in which to do so,” Campbell said. “You build up your savings account little by little, and you have the chance to win cash for doing so.”

Currently, Billinero™ is only open to users who reside in Indiana, as well as Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, South Carolina, or Virginia.
