Centier Bank Named Best Place to Work by Indiana Chamber of Commerce
August 24, 2020
MERRILLVILLE, Ind. – Michael E. Schrage, CEO and Chairman of Centier Bank, is proud to announce the Indiana Chamber of Commerce has once again named Centier as a “Best Place To Work in Indiana” at its annual 2020 workplace awards. Centier ranked 7th in the Large Company category during the virtual awards ceremony on Aug. 24.
Schrage said Centier is proud to continue its legacy as a “Best Place to Work in Indiana,” a recognition it has received annually since 2007.
“We are humbled and honored to be recognized as a ‘Best Place to Work’,” said Chrisanne Christ, Senior Partner in Human Resource Development at Centier Bank. “Our 125-year-old legacy is the exceptional culture we’ve created here at Centier Bank. As a result, we attract the top talent and create a working environment that people love showing up to. We put our associates first, and in turn, our clients receive the best service.”
The top companies in the state are determined through employer reports and anonymous, comprehensive employee surveys. Centier has been named to the Indiana Chamber’s Best Places to Work list for the 15th consecutive year. The Large Company category features organizations that employ between 250 and 999 associates. The Best Companies Group, which handled the selection process, oversees similar programs in 25 other states.
“We’re very proud of this recognition, and it reinforces that Centier is truly a special place to work,” Schrage explained. “We are always looking for new ways to enrich our employees’ lives, and help each individual develop personally and professionally. It means a lot that our associates acknowledge this and feel they are in the right place.”
