LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Centier Bank was recently honored with the Community Partner Award at the Wabash Center’s Annual Celebration. Wabash Center is a Lafayette-based nonprofit that provides services and care for adults with special needs and disabilities with the goal of optimizing their qualities of life.
The Annual Celebration recognizes people with disabilities and the Wabash Center’s employees. Centier Bank’s Lafayette Market President, Joseph Howarth along with Centier Business Banking Officer, Kevin Broadstreet attended the event.
“Our partnership with the Wabash Center is a special one,” Howarth said. “We are proud to support them in any way we can, and are grateful for the wonderful services they are providing to those in our community.”
Jason McManus, President and CEO of the Wabash Center, said Centier’s charitable giving and volunteerism has always been greatly appreciated, but especially over the last year.
“We were proud to recognize Centier as both a community partner and a financial partner,” McManus said. “Our ongoing business banking relationship only grew stronger throughout the pandemic, and we are grateful to continue partnering with Centier to improve Lafayette."
From 2016-2020, Centier Bank’s community impact across Indiana was valued at a total of $11,055,978. The finding came out of a study examining several areas of corporate philanthropy including volunteerism, donations, and internal fundraising which quantified Centier Bank’s impact on local organizations and communities at large.
