Centier Bank’s Marsha Plesac Named Hobart Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year

January 11, 2018

Marsha Plesac Named Hobart Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the YearHOBART – Marsha Plesac, the Branch Manager of Centier Bank’s Downtown Hobart location, was recently named Volunteer of the Year for her efforts in working with the Hobart Chamber of Commerce.
Plesac was honored for her many contributions and dedication to service in a successful year for the Chamber. According to Executive Director Lisa Winstead, Plesac was instrumental in organizing the successful Hobart Chamber Business Expo,  participating and volunteering at every committee level with the Chamber.
“Marsha has been such a pleasure to work with,” explained Winstead. “I always know I can count on Marsha and Centier Bank for support, great service, and warm, smiling faces ready to serve our community!”
For Plesac, the opportunity has allowed her to connect Centier’s mission of supporting local business and helping boost a community atmosphere through events like Hobart’s annual Fourth of July Parade. Being active in the Chamber allows her to increase her sphere of influence, meet new people, and work with other professionals.
“I do this as both an ambassador of Centier and the Chamber of Commerce because it is always beneficial for Centier to be a part of community events,” explained Plesac. “I am proud to work for a company that encourages its associates to become involved in their community through civic, economic, charitable and educational initiatives. I appreciate my fellow bankers at the Hobart Downtown branch for their ability to ‘pick up the slack’ if I am out in the community. I could not do what I do without knowing the branch is in their very capable hands!”
Plesac also contributes as the Vice President of the Hobart Educational Foundation, Secretary of the City of Hobart Redevelopment Commission, organizer of the Lake Effect Toastmasters Club, and is an active parishioner and pastoral council member with St. Bridget Church in Hobart.
“I am blessed to have been afforded these opportunities in the economic, civic, education and faith aspects of Hobart,” continued Plesac. “It is an honor and privilege to serve my city and its residents in all these capacities.”
