MERRILLVILLE – Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Leman, Rich Carlton, and Chris Campbell to the Board of Directors of Centier Bank.
Leman serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Gibson, an insurance and risk management firm based out of South Bend, Indiana. With his leadership, Gibson has been selected as a Best Places to Work in Indiana, named to Principal’s 10 Best list for employee financial security, maintained its status as a Reagan & Associates Best Practices Agency, recognized as one of 20 Indiana Companies To Watch, and named to the Inc. 5000 list.
“For over 120 years, Centier Bank has continued to grow into Indiana’s largest private, family-owned bank, and I look forward to sharing my expertise and experiences to help this organization continue to prosper,” explained Leman. “As a leader of a fellow longtime privately-owned Indiana company focused on putting employees first, I align with Centier’s culture of excellence.”
Carlton leads the South Bend-based firm Data Realty LLC as President and Chief Operating Officer. There, he works toward driving the overall organization to meet the mission of harnessing the power of data and using it to fuel the economic engine of growing companies, communities, and people.
“As Centier continues to adopt more advanced technology and banking practices, I am excited to share a voice in the decisions being made to affect the organization’s bottom line,” said Carlton. “The future is bright for Centier and I am pleased to be a part of it.”
Chris Campbell continues to develop in a leadership role at Centier Bank as he is also named as a Senior Partner in Lending. Campbell started with Centier in 2006 and has worked with several lines of business as his role continues to expand. Campbell is a fifth-generation member of the Schrage family and has previously served in multiple positions, most recently as the Market President for Business Bankers servicing Lake, Porter, La Porte, Marshall, St. Joe, and Elkhart Counties. Prior to joining Centier, Campbell worked at the Nasdaq Stock Market and was Vice President of Trading at Legg Mason.
“For years, our Board of Directors has given Centier Bank strong leadership and great direction. I look forward to continuing that legacy as I see great opportunities for our bank to continue to grow,” said Campbell. “As a proud member of the Schrage family, I am excited at the opportunity to fulfill our Not for Sale Promise and to ensure that Centier stays owned and managed by the Schrage family.”
“Our new board members each have a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help guide Centier Bank as we continue to invest in people, technology, and the future of banking,” stated Schrage. “I welcome their leadership as members of our Board of Directors and look forward to the impact they will add to the growth and expansion of our bank.”
