SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Centier Bank recently made a $1,500 community donation to A Rosie Place for Children, a South Bend-based nonprofit hospital. A Rosie Place is Indiana‘s only licensed, not-for-profit, specialty hospital dedicated exclusively to serving the growing number of families with children who are medically fragile.

Rosie Place serves all 92 Indiana counties. Situated on five beautiful acres, it serves as a home away from home where there are special activities for each child and relationships are built. Children who are medically fragile come to A Rosie Place for respite stays. The donation sponsored the “Putt for a Pour” contest at the 19th annual Rosie Golf Course Classic, held on July 31.

Renee Rush, Director of Marketing and Communications for A Rosie Place for Children, said the annual event helped the organization achieve a record-breaking year, and funds raised go directly to supporting its mission of creating a world of ‘YES’ for medically fragile children and their families.

“Our community partnership with Centier Bank has been truly meaningful, as they share our dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of medically fragile children,” Rush explained. “From their generous donations to their enthusiastic volunteer efforts, Centier Bank exemplifies a strong commitment to our community. Centier has demonstrated just how much they care year after year, supporting the programs of A Rosie Place for Children – nursing care, respite, resources, family events – all of it.  We cannot do what we do for these families without partnerships like this.”

Cassandra Fautz, Assistant Vice President, Branch Operations Manager at Centier Bank, cultivated the partnership between Centier and A Rosie Place. Fautz first became involved with the organization in 2018, when she was able to tour the facility and was inspired by the dedication of the staff.

“In our community, we are not just bankers,” Fautz said. “We are compassionate neighbors doing what we can to make a positive impact, extending our hands to uplift and nurture those who need it the most. Together, we are making a difference, one little heart at a time."

Lori Lancour, Director of Strategic Initiatives Advancement at Rosie Place, said the organization is grateful to Centier Bank’s partnership.

“We extend a heartfelt thank you to Centier Bank for such a wonderful donation and incredible support!” Lancour said. “We are incredibly grateful for your compassion and dedication to making a difference in our community.”
