CENTIER BANK PROMOTES DONALD ROME TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF RISK OFFICER

MERRILLVILLE, IND. — Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned and operated bank, is pleased to name Donald Rome as Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer. In this role, Rome will oversee the risk functions at Centier including Credit, Enterprise and Operational Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Regulatory Relations, Corporate Insurance, Governance, and Financial Crimes.

Not only are we mitigating and managing risks, but our team members continue to focus on adding value to our communities, associates and clients,” said Rome. “I’m looking forward to continuing to lead Centier’s risk function and the fantastic group of associates.”

Rome joined Centier in 2022 and leads the risk division in developing and implementing risk management strategies. He has more than 20 years of experience in leading risk teams at financial institutions across the country.

Rome earned his bachelor's degree from Montana State University, his master’s degree from the University of Montana and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. He lives in Valparaiso with his wife and two children. They spend their free time outdoors and attending and participating in sporting events.
