MERRILLVILLE, Ind. — Michael E. Schrage, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Skyler Balmer to Business Resiliency Officer within the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Division.

Balmer joined Centier Bank’s Internal Audit Team in 2019, transitioning to Enterprise Risk Management in 2020. He has served as a business continuity specialist and manager. Prior to joining Centier, Balmer was an auditor with the Indiana State Board of Accounts and worked to audit local political entities in Indiana.

“The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic caused disruptions in many industries, but Centier Bank had a seamless transition when it came to the way we conducted business both in the branches and in our remote workforce,” Balmer explained. “It’s important for businesses to always have backup plans to ensure business continuity, and I am happy to help lead the bank in this effort.”

Balmer is a graduate of Purdue University Northwest with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, and Auditing, and is a CPA with the State of Indiana.
