CENTIER BANK WELCOMES KATHY ATWOOD AS PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR

MERRILLVILLE, IND. — Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned bank, welcomes Kathy Atwood to the organization as Public Relations Director.

Atwood brings more than 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing and communications in a wide variety of capacities. She has worked at agencies large and small, as well as in-house corporate settings. Atwood has worked for well-known Fortune 500 companies and brands across many industries as well as local companies such as Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, Indiana.

“When I joined Centier Bank, I immediately felt the people-first culture. The amazing culture is real here, and I am thrilled to get to experience it first-hand,” said Atwood. “In my role, I am excited to work cross functionally to share and bring the Centier story to life through a strategic communications approach.”

Atwood will lead the creation and execution of public relations strategies aimed at strengthening the bank's public image and reputation across the state of Indiana as well as at a community level.

Atwood graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Purdue University. Her time away from work is spent with her husband and 6-year-old son. You might catch them at a Cub Scouts event, spearheading park circuits, involved in a backyard game of baseball with the neighborhood kids or planning their next Disney trip.

In addition to welcoming Atwood, Centier Bank has much to celebrate this year. Commemorating 130 years in business as well as being named the Best Retail Bank for Customer Satisfaction in the North Central Region of the United States in the 2025 J.D. Power Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.
