CENTIER BANK WELCOMES RICK SMITH AS GREATER FORT WAYNE MARKET COMMERCIAL MANAGER

FORT WAYNE, IND. — Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned bank, welcomes Rick Smith to the organization as a Commercial Manager in the Greater Fort Wayne market. Smith brings 20+ years of banking experience to Centier, as well as a reputation for excellent business banking practices and relationships.

Smith honed his robust commercial and business banking expertise over two decades with a national bank by delivering sound advice and fostering strong partnerships with clients. He joins Centier Bank at a time of tremendous growth across the Hoosier state, where his skills will be instrumental in supporting the bank’s continued expansion in northeast Indiana. Smith’s responsibilities include commercial loans, building client relationships, and leading community engagement, sales, and strategic planning.

Smith is a recognized leader in the Fort Wayne community and was named as part of the Leadership Fort Wayne (LFW) Class of 2019 by Greater Fort Wayne Inc.

A Fort Wayne native, Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Saint Francis and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indiana Institute of Technology.

In 2024, Centier relocated its Fort Wayne branch to the newly renamed Centier Bank Building at 127 W. Berry St. The 13,500-square-foot branch underwent the largest interior renovation in Centier’s 130-year history. Centier was also recently recognized by the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. retail banking satisfaction survey as the best retail bank for customer satisfaction in the North Central Region for the first time.
