Centier Bank Announces “Community Days” in Greater Lafayette

June 8, 2017

GREATER LAFAYETTE, IN - Centier Bank has announced the rollout of its new Community Days promotion, benefitting five Greater Lafayette nonprofit organizations in conjunction with the grand opening of the Bank’s sixth banking center in the Greater Lafayette Community. Each week, Centier will highlight one of five chosen nonprofit organizations to receive a donation of up to $1,000 – entirely supported by a simple ask from the supporters of each charity: Stop by and say hello.

For every person that stops in at Centier’s new Lafayette East Banking Center, located at 5 Executive Drive, just West of Lowe’s, between June 19th and July 22nd, Centier will donate $20 in that individual’s name to the charity highlighted that week. Individuals can stop in once each week, to support multiple charities on the list, and there is no purchase necessary - the Bank will only ask that individuals supply their name, address and signature, approving the donation to the charity on their behalf.

“This is a pure community giveback,” stated Joe Howarth, Lafayette Market President, “Though we’d love to earn the business of everyone who stops in, there are no hurdles or hidden agendas; just stop in, say hello, and let us know you’d like for Centier Bank to make a donation to the highlighted charity in your name.”

“We’re proud to present our Community Days program to showcase our commitment to the community and to share our corporate values with the Greater Lafayette Community,” Howarth also said, “Those values are caring, loyalty, integrity, friendship and fun – and we think this new program encompasses a little bit of each. We look forward to presenting some big checks at the end of the promotion – so come on out and help us do some good together for the community!”

Highlighted charities by week are as follows:

  • Lafayette Transitional Housing Center June 19 – June 24

  • Lyn Treece Boys and Girls Club June 26 – July 1

  • Loving Heart Animal Shelter  July 3 – July 8

  • Junior Achievement July 10 – July 15

  • Lafayette Urban Ministry July 17 – July 22

The five Community Days organizations were chosen by a team of Centier associates in the Greater Lafayette Community to honor the work each organization does in the community. This multifaceted donation opportunity is in addition to a donation Centier Bank will make at its June 14th Grand Opening Reception to the United Way of Greater Lafayette - as well as ongoing efforts to support a variety of other Greater Lafayette initiatives throughout the year.
