CENTIER BANK PROMOTES ELIZABETH BASOSKITO RISK OFFICER
MERRILLVILLE, IND. — Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned and operated bank, is pleased to promote Elizabeth Basoski to Risk Officer specializing in Operational Risk Management. In this role, Basoski is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating operational risks across business units.
“My role is evolving to take a more proactive and strategic approach to operational risk management, rather than focusing solely on identifying and mitigating risks after they arise,” said Basoski. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to influence the bank’s risk culture at a deeper level by helping teams see risk management not as a requirement, but as a value-added component of delivering exceptional service.”
Basoski joined Centier in 2007 as a Teller at the Crown Point Downtown branch and has served in several roles before joining the Internal Audit team as a Staff Auditor in 2017 and the Enterprise Risk Management team as a FDICIA Analyst in 2019.
“Elizabeth has been an invaluable asset to Centier and our risk management team,” said Niki Duhon, Vice President, ERM Director at Centier Bank. “Her expertise and passion for embedding risk awareness further into the bank’s everyday decision-making will be essential as Centier grows.”
Basoski earned her bachelor’s in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University. She volunteers at the NWI foodbank multiple times a year with the Enterprise Risk Management team, and volunteers in different capacities at her church.
In addition to promoting Basoski, Centier Bank has much to celebrate this year, including commemorating more than 130 years in business as well as being named the Best Retail Bank for Customer Satisfaction in the North Central Region of the United States in the 2025 J.D. Power Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.
