CENTIER BANK PROMOTES MICHELLE STEUER TO VICE PRESIDENT, ASSOCIATE RELATIONS OFFICER

MERRILLVILLE, IND. — Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned and operated bank, is pleased to promote Michelle Steuer to Vice President, Associate Relations Officer. In this role, Steuer is responsible for helping Centier’s talented associates on their career pathing journey, facilitating leadership training with its Talent Development partners and ensuring that associates are happy and successful within their positions.

Steuer joined Centier in 1997 as a Teller before pivoting to Human Resources, and has excelled in her roles, most recently serving as a Senior HR Business Partner. In addition to associate relations, she leads many cultural events throughout the bank.

Steuer earned her Bachelor’s in Human Resources from Purdue University Calumet and her Master’s from the Devery Keller School of Management. She lives in Cedar Lake with her husband, Jon, their two kids and labradoodle Cubby. Steuer spends much of her time throughout the year helping coach her daughter’s cheer team, which she also serves as a board member for Hanover Junior Wildcats Pop Warner.

In addition to promoting Steuer, Centier Bank has much to celebrate this year, including commemorating more than 130 years in business as well as being named the Best Retail Bank for Customer Satisfaction in the North Central Region of the United States in the 2025 J.D. Power Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.
